Used my roasted peppers for salsa and chili

Postby Copasspupil » Mon Nov 05, 2018 3:36 pm

So my smoked salsa was way too hot for my family so I took 1/4 of the batch and added to some ground beef to make chili and it turned out well. I really didn’t need anything else but some cumin and salt and pepper. The heat is lower and had good flavor. I have a large bowl of beans for those wanting to have beans in their chili.

I turned my attention on an old recipe of mine for corn cakes. Corn bread meets sweet treat. Corn cake waffles that is. It solved my problem of the center of the batter not completely cooking all the way through for pancakes but for waffles. It definitely worked.

Thanks they girls had two of the waffles before eating the chili. My wife claimed the chili too hot for them. It was warm and warmed the belly once it hit the right end spot for sure. I’ve got one more bowl for tomorrow.
