Assisstant to the Wife today

Postby OldUsedParts » Tue Mar 24, 2020 11:06 am

SWMBO, wanted to fix a pot of beef stew/soup and she said that she would show me how. Well, she got in the drivers seat and I cut up the meat (Beef Sirloin Picanha Roast), peeled and cup up the Taters, chopped the Own-Yawns, opened the canned goods and stirred when directed ! She sautéed the meat and own-yawns and attended the pot. When it was time for the next ingredient, I would hand it to her. Now, after tasting it, I can't wait to grab me a bowl.

Was my first time to use this cut of meat and I was concerned about it being tender but it turned out perfect.
Ended up with enuff for two Pots so half will have some freezer time and then the other half is going to be Lunch for a couple of days and a generous helping will go to our widowed neighbor across the street.

Awesome. A warming pot of good stuff. Great during winter when it's cold outside.

We call it "lapskaus"

Thanks, I'm awful proud of that Cutting Board that my Friend, Egghead, built and bestowed upon me and I also have one of his awesome Wine Cork Trivets. He told me, if I didn't use them, there would be well dressed men in black SUVs circling my home. :laughing7:  :D :whiteflag:
