Re: Overnight French Toast
Sailor and Pro Bun,
That's pretty Kool that you both gave this a shot and liked it :):)
I was very skeptical, but from here on out, the griddle won't even cross my mind when it comes to french toast :)
Enjoy .

Re: Overnight French Toast
We just tried a variation on this. Because I had bread cubes. Tasted very good, but not as 'pretty' as real slices. And not something I wanna do in hot weather.
We didn't soak it overnight, but will next time.
Wv... thanks for bringing this to our attention!

Re: Overnight French Toast
It turned out very good this way.
Next time, I'm elected to make 'em, exactly as per the recipe.

Re: Overnight French Toast
This is an older thread, but this is my first time here, so I'm doing a lot of snoopin' around.
This is a good recipe for what I learned as 'pain perdu'...another name for French Toast. It just means 'lost bread' in French...which 'you' out there might know. but maybe not.
And YES, I will be trying this soon. Pictures coming when I get around to it.
