Old News Rerun

Postby OldUsedParts » Sun Apr 02, 2017 9:13 am

I have mentioned once before how I love my breakfast pizza/chalupa/flat soft tacos ????? or whatever you want to call them. I am NOT exaggerating when I say that I eat this for breakfast EVERY SINGLE MORNING THAT I AM IN THE KITCHEN COOKIN "MY" BREAKFAST. It is loaded with all of the flavors and ingredients that I like all stacked into a nice mini-pizza object that I can eat with a fork.

I keep waiting for my taste buds to say "eh not this morning" but they haven't in ?almost? two years.

Altho they seem small on the plate, these things consist of these multi layers:
From bottom to top they are
a soft corn Guerrero tortilla
layer of grated cheese (either pepper/monterey/habenaro/etc)
sprinkle of Suckle Busters Chipotle Gunpowder
layer of picante mixed with Suckle Busters Jalapeno Pepper Jelly
layer of browned and chopped Owens Hot Sausage and scrambled Cackle Berry (half of mix)
salt and pepper
another layer of cheese
THEN
the layers above are repeated on another tort and then stacked on top of the first one
fourteen varous layers of ingredients AND
then it is nuked enuff to melt the cheese and ready to eat.

To rip off a Blazing Saddles quote:

"Man eat that much chile, he going to DIE!"

Looks good though, but if I et all that I'm gonna be Lone Star Gas after.
BE WELL, BUT NOT DONE
Hank: "Do you know how to jumpstart a man's heart with a downed power line?"
Bobby: "No."
Hank: "Well, there's really no wrong way to do it."

Looking good, I'm not a brekky person because of reflux, but I'd make an exception just this once, lol.

Yeah I do have brekky about once a week, but I have my main meal at dinner time. Not big on dessert, wife's the same, wife's lucky she has her brekky and lunch provided by her employer. She's the matron of 130 boys from about 12 to 17 yo at a boys high school boarding house. Talk about spoilt, looked after at work, then when she comes home. We've had strawberries n cream a few times over summer though, from her garden. I haven't seen caramel ice cream here either.??

I'm not much on desserts either BUT I duz likes my Dulce de Leche right before lala - - - I never get reflux during the day unless I eat raw own-yawns or bell peppers then I usually eat them all day long HOWEVER, if I eat and then lay down, I'll get reflux no matter what food I've eaten. :whiteflag: da Doc calls it High Addled Hernia :laughing7: :D
