SURPRISE being that it's Quail and not Chicken. The deception was "only" meant to get SWMBO to at least try it and she did - - - she never eats all of what's on her plate but she damaged it pretty well and said that "it was good" - - - Mission Accomplished. I have posted a Monterey Chicken Cook here before and I did exactly the same thing with the Quail. Only "twist" was to get the 4 smaller A-cup Quail breasts changed into 2 D-cups which was a no brainer with a mallet and some wax paper. viewtopic.php?f=32&t=27612&p=223839&hilit=Monterey+Chicken#p223839
Here's some pics from today - - - the sides were a nuked cob and the leftovers from yesterday's trip to Rudy's BBQ.
