Fixed some down home Suthern Grub today - - - Frijoles (aka Pinto Beans) and Hotwater Cornbread/Fried Cornbread/Corn Dodgers (ala True Grit). "if this ain't Country Cooking, I'll kiss yo Grits"

Used to eat pintos and cornbread regularly with my MeeMaw. Still one of my favorites. Needs a hunk of purple onion on the side.

Russ, that is a Smoked Ham Hock - - - - being an old C'boy you should know where the hock is :laughing7: These weren't the best I've ever used but they were decent - - - - I really should have used Salt Pork but hind sight is 20/20. :dont:

W.V. Y'all come on down but bring the Kamodie and Blackstone if you do :salut:

Back in High School, we....I mean some other kids :) used to find the ( bullies ) and wait for the perfect moment ( usually the locker room ) and throw some type of blanket or cover over them and lump them up for a bit !!..ya know, just to get thier attention !

Usually, street Justice prevailed over the weak repercussions that the school would apply...

Ain't it amazing how far a little persuasion goes ??
