Spears Garlic spears

Anybody ever eat these? Kind of a cross between asparagus and french fry. They are delicious. Short season which should be now and over the next three weeks.

Here you go. I usually just toss them in olive oil and salt and pepper.

Never seen anything like it. Btw my wife has our own asparagus patch which is 3 years old this coming season , so we should get a good crop this season. I'll keep an eye out for this in maybe an Asian supermarket.
