A Pot of "Food"
Even tho the Manufacturer uses the "C" word many times on the package, HOWEVER, I have opted to use the "F" word 'cause I sure don't want to be the Center Piece for a Lynching.
So let's just refer to this with another "F" word and call it "FauxChili" - - ? If that's OK with the anti-legume League ?
Got it started in the Crock Pot at 5am so I'll be stirring and adding little things all morning along with making some Corn Dodgers or Martha White Sweet Yeller Cornbread to use as a Pot Liquor Sopper.
Stay tuned for the 12 o'clock News Report.

But seriously, will you have cornbread? Because if we agreed not to use the C word and you had cornbread I might sit down and have a bowl with you.
I hate it when manufacturers falsely advertise their products :)

I'll make BOTH if it would get you to Our Table I promise you that this "Food" is swimming in the "B" words - - - I used 6 thick patties from the Box of Prime and you still have to look hard to find it.

Not quite done but I'll keep it on Warm Setting for a couple hours to Marry the Flavors. We took a little taste and, altho it does not taste like "C", it tastes pretty darned good.

Re: A Pot of "Food"
OK, one bowl is down and, even tho it ain't the "C" word, it was very very good, especially the Pot Liquor.
I made a skillet of Yeller Cornbread for the Wiffy but I opted to make some Guererro Tort, HEB Easy Melt Blacno Queso, Liquor sopping roll-ups.
If Outlaw were here he'd be screaming "What no Sooner Sauce" and I must admit that it would have fit perfectly somewhere between the spoon and my mouth but I ran out and haven't had time to make any more.

CHILICHILICHILICHILICHILICHILICHILICHILICHILICHILICHILICHILICHILI
See, nothing to it.
( Disclaimer )... Up in the Northeast the " kidney shaped " fart tablets are commonly used in a bowl of ( the word up ^^^^^^^^^^^^ )...
I myself don't mind them as long as they are cooked properly.
I know the debate will still go on, so have at it :):)
