New Orleans BBQ Shrimp

Postby egghead » Sun Sep 02, 2018 8:15 pm

Best place to buy shrimp in Corpus Christi is right off the boat at the “T” head. Picked a bunch of 15 count shrimp up this morning. Shrimp were swimming in gulf in the wee hours this morning and now they are swimming in our tummies. :D

Wife had an after work thing yesterday so talk of shrimp I got some out and cooked in garlic butter. Made a shrimp cocktail and put in the fridge for dinner. Had it later and the shrimps were hard as heck. Threw them out. Worst I ever had.

Thank goodness I moved. I've alway loved seafood and this dish looks amazing! Enjoy heading out on a boat to get a catch or two. This shrimp with the bread soaking up the broth. Man I love it!

EH, that is great looking bbq shrimp right there. Where exactly is the "T" head dock at. My next trip down to corpus will be the middle of November.

It’s right downtown - there is the “T” head and the “L” head docks. The “T” is the most northerly dock. Turn at the light where the Selena statue is (across from the tall hotel) and the shrimp boats will be on the north side of the dock. Shrimp won’t likely be as large but every time I go down there, there are swimps.
