Other half wanted some Shrimp and Own-yawn rangs today so I grabbed my 1982 Tony Chacheres Cajun County Cookbook and pulled out a couple of Recipes that have never failed me. I like my Own-yawn Rangs to be as crunchy as a tater chip and that's what I got. Used up the last of the late great Bondo Bill's Atkinsons Seafood Breading and whooped up some new Cocktail Sauce with Catsup and that Whataburger Creamy Pepper Sauce - - yum yum Nuked a ear of corn and warmed up some Field Peas with snaps. Your better half has excellent taste, in food that is, and you are wise catering to her requests.
Nice plate nicely executed.

I sense a Whataburger Creamy Pepper sauce monster may have been created.
I’d definitely eat that. Love them crispy onion rings.
What’s this Old Man wish list and what’s the age threshold for starting one? :)

JUST THE WAY I like it buddy !
If it ain't crunchy, I won't even waste the effort of picking it up off the plate.
Looks great Emm :):)
I'd like some Old Bay or SYM on those rings the second they come out of the hot oil :)

Re: "Fried" she Cried
thanks, Sailor Mam
Here ya go, Pard, right outa Tony's Cookbook vintage '82.
I cheated on the batter the other day and just used Flour, Slap Yo Mama Seasoning and enuff Beer to make a thin Batter. The batter in the Recipe below is awesome but I was being lazy the other day.
