St. Valentine's Day

Postby Sailor Kenshin » Thu Feb 14, 2019 11:52 am

What's everyone doing for the day?

This was breakfast: a knishwich, that has managed to resemble an egg cup. But it's only ham 'n' chez.

No more cooking for me today. Lunch/dinner will be 'bait.' Then cake!

Looks like you’re off to a good start.

I’ll be grilling some steaks tonight with asparagus and baked potatoes.

We don’t do much for Valentine’s Day but like to make it fun for the kids. My girls get a kick out of us eating by candlelight once a year :)

Right now I am repainting the steak/fajita cooker on the pit. But tonight I am going to Brewingz in Tomball for dollar beers and wings. Hope the Mrs can join me.

And the "bait' we had was a couple of sushi rolls - which was a nice treat for us.

Stayed in the box for our Valentine's Lunch - - - I did, however, get to try Allegro's Tennessee Whiskey Marinade. Also got a chance to use Suckle Busters Hog Waller Honey on some Chicken Wings and both of them were great. Everything else was pretty much S.O.S. around here :dont:

Perfect Day except for the Gale Force SSW Winds - - - but that just made grilling quicker :laughing7: :D

We got takeout from the local sushi joint (it's always too noisy in there for us to eat in).

Also, nice plate of grillin, OUP!

I actually went and caught bait today. The Herring is running now and wanted to stock my freezer for Halibut and Ling Cod bait.
