So I'm hoping the previous Disclaimer was read.....

Re: PB&J Ribs
About 90 minutes in, Sauced and wrapped for 1 more hour and they should be done.
Already the pull back is pretty good.
Just made the 3 ingredient Red Raspberry Preserves Sauce, Red Raspberry Preserves, Apple Juice and Balsamic Vinegar.
The sauce alone I could pour in a cup and just drink, I'm surprised how much flavor it has after cooking off the Vinegar.

They just came out about 10 minutes ago so another 10 I'll cut into them.
I made the Preserves Sauce and its made from Red Rasberry Preserves so its identical to a Preserve.
The Peanut Butter Sauce is from Creamy Peanut Butter, Apple Cider Vinegar and Apple Juice.
Its actually really good and super creamy.
So to answer ur question, I'm very confident that it will taste just like PB&J.
I think by looking at them that they are cooked perfectly as far as doneness.

Re: PB&J Ribs
Ok, so here's the verdict !!
Absolutely No Smoke Flavor, which I'm not surprised cuz this cooker wasn't meant for that. I thought I may get some because I could smell the Bourbon soaked Cherry, but no good.
However, the Raspberry Sauce was excellent ! The BE cooked them perfectly in under 3 hours, not chewy one bit and moist as usual.
When I dipped the Raspberry soaked Ribs in the Peanut Butter I didn't know what to expect, but imagine eating a PB&J and then the flavor of Pork Ribs.
Most would think it wouldn't work, but I gotta tell you it was seriously surprisingly delicious.
All in all, I would make them again in a heartbeat but I think I would be happy with just the Red Raspberry Sauce

So let me get this right... sorta like sticking bacon in a PBJ sandwich? On that basis, I am in, but make mine Cherry sauce instead.

I would have put them on the Akorn, but I had a pretty small time window to get these cooked and I knew that if anything would cook them quickly, safely and without being dry it would be the B.E.
Yeah, I think deep down I knew that the Mcguyvered Smoke trick wouldn't work but I had to try.
As for my wife, she actually does like the Smokey flavor so that's not an issue here.
My little guy still won't eat Ribs or Steak.
He's tried a few bites but not interested.
He's hit or miss with Chicken so we never know with him.
He's only 39 months old so for now, it's the usual...Mack- Ree - Ownie....Strawberries, Watermellon, PB&J and Apples...
Hopefully it's just a stage

Re: PB&J Ribs
Boots, I guess yes, its almost like that.Boots wrote:So let me get this right... sorta like sticking bacon in a PBJ sandwich? On that basis, I am in, but make mine Cherry sauce instead.
The PB&J are only 3 ingredients each, so its not altered much.
I think I'm gonna make more of each and let it completely cool down and then use it to make a PB&J sammich.
I'm curious to see how good it is.
As for the Ribs, besides Not having the smoke flavor, they were cooked perfectly.
They " didn't " just " fall off the bone " ....
And I'm happy about that because I don't care for ribs cooked like that.
Imho, if they are just falling apart, they are Overcooked.
I like a rib that once you take a bite, the " rest " of the rib meat stays put and at the same time not chewy.
As for Cherry sauce, I'd Definitely try something like that.
I'm gonna look into it Boots, thanks for the idea
Idk" maybe I'm alone on that but its preference.
I know I've praised this thing in the past, and I'm in no way trying to market the B.E, but if you guys ever get a opportunity to cook with one, you gotta try one.

That's a classic.
Fascinating, WV! Just make it seedless raspberry for me.
Moink!
