Parts, I think that recipe your friend sent you is the same thing. Google where to buy lompe in Minnesota, and start your research there. That is where all the Vikings live. Or Wisconsin.

Try this place parts and run it by the Viking and see if he approves. Lots of bakeries in Minnesota make and sell this stuff. May have to order a package of my own to confirm all the rage.

Thanks, Sir Greg, I'll sure risk one order later on when I run out and see what's up in Many-So-tah

Parts, i found this online, it appears that lompe, is just a smaller version of lefse.
Lefse is made out of potato, milk or cream (or lard) and flour, and cooked on a big hot slab called a griddle. ... You can also use lefse as a tortilla. A special type of lefse is “lompe”, a small and thin version of lefse witch is rolled around a hot dog, in stead (or together with) the regular hot dog bun.Jan 29, 2011

That place had a lot of great food. The lefse seems to be good, but expensive. 16 usd for the smallest package. We pay about 2.5 usd! Better I send you some.GRailsback wrote:http://www.norslandlefse.com/

If you like fish you should try their lutefisk. Very good if you do it right.
Also the canned mackerel in tomato sauce is great. We eat a lot of it on a slice if bread and a couple of stripes of mayo on top.
At last I see they have cream porridge. That is some great stuff with sugar and cinnamon on top. Eat with some cured meat and you have a great meal.
