Garlic,Butter,Parmesan & Herbs Center Cut Steaks

Postby woodenvisions » Sun Nov 10, 2019 7:57 pm

Been doing chores all weekend, Gutters, Grass, Garage Cleanin, Car Work, Snow Blower Belts and Resurfacing the Black Stone for a reseasoning...
Time to relax with some Home Made Garlic, Herb and Parmesan Butter for some Center Cuts.
Out of Lump so I figured I'd Rub the Steaks with Prime Rib Seasoning first then into the Big Easy with the Crisper Lid on for 30 minutes.
Pretty good but next time I'll use a better cut. I cant/wont complain because the wifey tried so all is good.
Sorry for the out of order pics, brain fart.....

Thx sooner.
I think they " look " better than they were tho.
Oh well, it was a nice gesture so I'm happy she tried .
I cut up the rest of what we didn't eat ( which was most of it ) and it's going in a vacuum pack bag with Au Jus and in the freezer till we do Sketti Sauce in the Crockpot.
Should be able to salvage it.

Thx man !
A few years back I threw an Auger belt halfway thru 2 ft of snow.
Picked up a clump of frozen leaves and wedged the chute.
I learned my lesson in the freezing cold so now I make sure the leaves are GONE before the first snowfall.
Fried the belt instantly so now I change the Auger Belt every Autumn regardless of how good they are.
We live in a development and the maintenance guys seem to wait till the last flake falls, then they plow the roads. At the end of my driveway is a mound a good 3 ft high, sometimes higher and once it freezes it's impossible to shovel.
Hence the reason for this Overkill beast. 3 stages which is 2 intake Augers mounted sideways for chopping ice, it's actually disturbing seeing how it rips thru everything. 357cc's for this model, the new ones have 420.
Heated grips and Zero Turn capability, just squeeze one lever and it locks that sides drive wheel.
All it needs is a beer....I mean Coffee cup holder

Great cooking. That steak looks awesome.

You can send the meal and the snow blower over here.

Nit going to hijack your thread but I could need both of them tonight. Seems that we are ahead of you regarding the weather/winter.

No worries about hijacks, I always like seeing where posts go.
Anything is welcome on any of my posts Joe .
Um, I'd gladly give up the Steak but no dice on the Cadet lol.
We're seeing furries already as of last Thursday and this past Saturday morning was in the 20's so it's not far off.
All of the new construction houses up here have square ceramic 220 v heaters on a thermostat in the garages just for the winter. First year we were here I didnt use it and the pipes froze.
I assumed it was just for warmth if I wanted to work in the garage but I soon found out it wasn't.
That was 12 years ago, ever since we've been fine with the pipes.. Thank God for PEX.......
December, January and February are the rough months, especially February since we are at the very top of a Mountain.
Been rolling the dice because of the $$$ but a Generator is Next.
Years before we moved here, there was an ice storm that took trees down and knocked out power in the whole area for WEEKS..
Our neighbors told us it was a bad situation. They both carry a Snub Nose 38 and a 357 Mag.
Anyone without a generator and a wood stove were sitting ducks for theft.
They are in thier late 70's lol..Tough people I'll tell ya

Seems you live in a tougher spot than us. Aren't your pipes buried in the ground? Here everything containg water is buried at least 2.5 meter down in in ground. It doesn't freeze that deep. Are there often power outages? Here it maybe happens seldom, maybe once a year. All the heating is electrical but haven't needed a generator.

We have a Well that's about 80 ft away from the house. Those pipes are deep in the ground, but the garage is a " Finished Garage " so the PEX runs along the walls in the garage.
Finished Garages look nice but there is a downfall because now the heater cant get the heat to them as easily.
All of this takes place over the garage between the 2 stories and that side of the house is the side where we always have Heavy Winds.
Mix that with the below Zero temps we get during the winter and that's what freezes the PEX.
If they were Copper Pioes, they would have burst Guaranteed.
PEX is amazing stuff
Last year we had a wind chill temp of 30 Below, it sounded like the Hulk and Captain America both had Sledgehammers and were taking turns whacking the floors of the front and back decks !!
The wind would get under the Vinyl Siding and vibrate them in a high pitch, it was really weird to hear that.
