Pickled jalapeños

Postby egghead » Tue Sep 15, 2020 10:26 pm

Fourteen and half pounds of sliced jalapeños pickled using an “Instantpot” - new to me.

Each batch (7 batches) was:

2 pounds jalapeños
1/2 large onion
2 Tbsp chopped garlic
A few bits of Carrot (just for a little color)
2 cups vinegar
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1 tsp salt

All into the pot and set for 1 minute

Are they hot? :angryfire: You betcha - Muy Picante Amigo

In the first picture I didn’t realize that was lid covers. I was thinking “ where did he find so many Red Jalapeños “. Great job

Ooo...impressive. Did you 'modify' the lids to get that image?

I like the lids.

Looks like something I need to do. Please explain more on using the insta pot. New to it, but enjoying it. Thanks

I’m also new to the InstantPot. I googled Instapot pickled jalapeños and doubled the recipe I found. I liked the heat but wanted it sweeter so just added some sugar.

The other thing I’ve done with the Instantpot is corned beef and cabbage using a store bought corned flat. If you like corned beef and cabbage I would try it. It’s excellent.

I love corned beef, have to look it up. So far the best corned beef I've had/made was a sous vide. Thanks
