Stumbled upon Larapin

Postby OldUsedParts » Wed Sep 30, 2020 11:31 am

I have usually always eaten Summer Sausage, Cold, and sometimes with cheese and crackers but today I decided to brown the Summer Sausage, place them on a round piece of Guerrero Corn Tortilla and top with a piece of Monterey Jack Cheese. This will probably be my "go-to" with Summer Sausage from now on.

Nuked them for 30 seconds on High and got "Larapin"

Same here with Summer Sausage, just eat cold as a snack or in a sandwich.
Will have to try this.

Might be something like the one I bought today?

It contains 45% beef, pork belly, pig hearts, cow liver, blood and spices

Don’t know if that would be considered summer sausage or not. Ingredients sound great though. I unfortunately have a weakness for cured meats.

I’ve used summer sausage in ABT’s along with a piece of sharp cheddar. That combo is second only to shrimp ABT’s.

That sounds like a good option.
We usually put Cream Cheese, Shredded Cheddar, and a Little Smokie sausage.

Ever since '86, I've had those memory moments of my Best Friend "Snowtoes" ( aka "Obsidian Sinoto") He literally raised my 2 sons, especially my Oldest. I made his Grave Marker where it stood all the time we lived at the Ranch but when I moved I moved it also. Don't know if you can read this but it's routed into weathered wood and proudly hangs on my Wall of Fame.
