Gumbeaux don'tcha Kneaux

Postby OldUsedParts » Sun Dec 06, 2020 2:12 pm

When it comes to Gumbo around here, we have been so spoiled on Hebert's Specialty Meats Crab and Shrimp Gumbo that we have started cheating by just adding Okra and Tomatoes and Rice and calling it "Done". The Roux that they use electrifies my Palate like none other has ever done.

Juice Tone was and is my Hero when it comes to the Kitchen. I was and am, an avid and faithful watcher to this day.

Podnah, I get all of mine at the Woodlands Store.
https://hebertsspecialtymeats.com/
I don't know if one of their locations is close to Y'all or not but they do ship some items, I think?
They have several items that we really like and use a lot. We got started going there when my Kuz
told us about the deboned/stuffed Chickens. All of the various Stuffing is good but out favorite is
Shrimp Dressing Stuffing. :salut:

Did some Googling and it looks like the one off of 610 is your quickest bet.
As a matter of fact, you can probably get there quicker than I can get to mine in Shenandoah.

We really enjoy their Sausages also. https://hebertsspecialtymeats.com/produ ... n-sausage/
Fresh Mixed
Fresh Pork
I don't like them cooked in the Oven, however, I like to cut them in halves and give them some charcoal time on each side and then in a ziplock and to the Frig. Whenever I'm in the mood for some, I just get the bag from the Frig and break off whatever I want and give it a couple minutes on high in the Microwave. HABIT FORMING I'll Garoontee.
