Bless Ol’Greg, those Beers are driving him crazy

I guess it's the same in Germany which has a lot of great beer IMHO. Duesseldorf alt beer is among my favorites. Eating a Schweinshaxe and drinking alt beer in one of the breweries in Altstadt is awesome.

For sure, Schweinshaxn is a really good dish, if you like it :chef:

But, what I do not understand, is, why you do not drink beer with that dish.
If you drink lemonade, I´ll should try it ... :dont: :laughing7:

for outsiders: "Beer", the one and only real Beer is only brewed in Bavaria. All that other Lemonade could be tasty, but has nothing to do with Beer :rose: :laughing7:
Extra Bavaria non est vita, et si est vita, non est ita.

I enjoy hearing you guys discuss traditional beer. It reminds me of a lot of bourbon discussions I hear over here in the states. Very cool and educational!

DaBerti is of course the expert on German beer. I, as a foreigner to Germany, have the pleasure of tasting all the different variants when visiting. Having been to both Munich and many other places I still rate the Dusseldorfer Altbier as my favorite. A dark but very easy drinkable beer. I'm actually planning on brewing a clone next weekend.

I think this thread is hijacked.
