Roux Practise

Postby OldUsedParts » Sat Mar 27, 2021 2:02 pm

Last week I picked up some Crab and Shrimp Gumbo at "Hebert's Specialty Meats" but when I got ready to fix it, there was not a sign of any Roux existing in the Jar. So I decided to try my hand at some Scratch Roux and it came out good. This makes two times I've made roux lately and I hope that Practice really does make Perfect. :dont: :chef: :salut:

Nice plate!!! It’s always better when you make your own roux.

I've lived a good part of my life in the Haughton and Shreveport area. Both mine and my wife's family live in that area so when we go visit, "we go back home"
