What do you eat for new years dinner?
Here's ours:
Starter was a small plate with salmon sashimi with ponzu sauce and apple/shallot salad.
Main course was beef tenderloin cooked whole in the oven. Served with bearnaise, pepper sauce and mushrooms. Side was potatoes which is sliced potatoes stacked like rooftiles in a bread pan lined with bacon.
Desert was caramel pudding.
With you all a happy new year. Thanks for a great forum.

Just made some hot ham & cheese melts in the cast iron skillet. Nuthin' special, but sure tasty, and I'm thankful to the Lord for the provision.
Tenderloin looks great!

Thanks. Rib eyes and baked potatoes are delicious. Sounds good.Rambo wrote:Rib Eyes and baked potatoes. Joe, a beautiful spread. Y’all don’t eat a lot of Bologna
I do like a slice of Bologna on a slice of bread, topped with mayonnaise. I try to avoid processed food, except for very busy occasions.

We're heading there...then to Norway!
New Year's Day, or Eve?
NY Eve, we have a tradition of Chinese take-out. And champagne. Today? Just toasted bagels and scallion cream cheese, smoked peppered salmon, a green salad, and more champagne.

Awesome menu Parts.
Sailor: Champagne is great.
We had Champagne yesterday when we had a couple of friends over for the dinner. Was also great with the sashimi salmon.
