Been wanting to fix a Beer Can Chicken for a while but I didn't have time to do it over some Charcoal.
Therefore, I decided, FOR THE FIRST TIME, to do it in the Oven
I used Suckle Busters Sugar Daddy and of course kept it sitting on a can of beer with seasonings added.
I was very disappointed in the outcome and I'll never do one in the Oven again.
It took over 2 hrs at 350 to even get it to 165
My side was Air Fried Asparagus and I ate the skin, wings and the meat from the back of the bird.
Even tho all of the meat was juicy, the Breasts just needed that smoke flavor that you don't get with the Oven.

It looks good, I am sorry it did not work for you....
I have read of these types of cook many times, but never got the nerve to try one. Chicken and turkey, I cut them up mostly then cook with some smoke.
I have sous vide but seems even after retirement I have less time for such endeavors

Good looking oven baked chicken OUP I would eat that in a heart beat.
For the temp and a beer can full of liquid the timing is about right. Personally I am not a fan of canned chickens. The only time you will see me using it is when I am preparing to cook a gumbo this way I can smoke it whole before making my stock. I prefer spatchcock or halves even if done in the oven unless I am pot roasting one.

We'll take the leftovers!
Looked goooood. I was wanting to try this during the winter but couldn't get a decent chicken.
