Logo help needed

Postby dadymat » Sat Apr 26, 2014 1:04 am

we finally figured out the logo we want to use, but i created it in MS paint and need to figure out how to make it better quality for large banners and such.....it looks fine small but to expand it makes it look pretty bad....do i need to hire someone to make it what i need it to be?...or is there an idiot proof program i can use and do it myself? any guidance or direction will be appreciated ....

Probably could use adobe photoshop. Or send patrick an email at bbqlogos.com. He does good work and is really quick and will work with you to tweak anything you want before finalizing.

I would be happy to convert the file for you, email it to me. But if you need artistic work done - I highly recommend Patrick at BBQ Logos. He can whip it out in no-time.

It depends on the type of printing you are wanting to have done. Anything done in MS paint will end up pixelated as it's not really a high quality program. Photoshop will work for paperprinting and higher quality pixel type printing done at a higher resolutions like atleast 150 dpi ... for screen printing, embroidery and enlarged printing it'll need to be done in vector art. If it's done in vector art you can literally take a 3" X 3' image and blow it up the size of a city block and get no distortion. Vector art is limited compared to pixel art, so it really depends on your needs as to which is better suited.

He can do anything you want. He is a awesome Artist. Send him what you have come up with and he can remake it in his software. I sent him pics of my smokers and he drew them in my logo.

Vector art is the way to go then. Photos just dont transfer to print, which is primarily what Photoshop is for. Vector formats are usually in .eps or .ai formats for printing.

You can send to copyartwork.com it's a service that will convert Raster (jpg) to vector. If you want to email it to me I have an account with them. They'll get it done overnight and it'll be something you can use for decals, shirts, hats, etc. Cost on a simple logo conversion is $15
