Msg brisket
Anybody inject msg into their brisket? I make a pretty good brisket but was wondering about injections. There are some injections on the commercial market but I like to do something different most of the time.

Never just MSG. Most of the commercial injections are loaded with more than enough with MSG.

Also gotta be careful because some folks like my oldest son and I are intolerant to MSG -- - - some reactions can be very serious also

I used to think it was all in my head, but then I realized that it was completely legit.
I used to get headaches every time we ordered General Tsao and one day another customer ordered their dinner and requested they not use MSG.
I asked why she requested that and she told me she gets bad headaches.
Ever since that day, headaches are non existent.

Not good buddy, not good !!
My friend at work is like that with Old Bay.
If he even eats something made in the same pan with Old Bay residue he blows up, throat closes.
Scary stuff

Hey John, we meant nothing towards you and I sure hope you didn't take it that way. It's just that MSG in the wrong tummies can sometimes be a bad thing. I apologize if my input was rude or crude and assure you that it was only meant to be helpful.

John,
We're not trying to discourage you. I'm sure not everyone has these reactions.

Lol. I have thicker skin than that. I'd rather ask and be shot down than make somebody sick. I've thought seriously about buying some of that commercial injection I'm just to cheap.
