Commercial Sauce

Postby birdsbbq » Sun Apr 29, 2018 9:01 pm

Long story short.... I typically make my own chicken bbq sauce for comp. Won’t be able to bring it this next weekend, so I’m looking for a solid sauce I can buy for chicken online. Something for more of a Texas style chicken. Thanks in advance!

Not real sure how you define “Texas Style Chicken” but Sucklebusters Honey and Chipotle are both killer on chicken. In your case I might go with Chipotle so it’s got that zing for a one bite judging.

I'll jump in on this one right away.

Not only because it's supporting the owner of this forum, but to be TRUTHFUL, Sucklebusters has a killer line of sauces along with thier rubs.

Check them out, and I Highly suggest the Original Honey BBQ sauce and the Peach is my favorite.
Add the Pecan rub and ur Chicken will even thank you.

Seriously, give it a try and you won't look back :):)

So is the Sucklebusters honey bbq Sauce the same as the honey bbq glaze?

I like the Spicy original myself. Consistency is you can glaze with either Gator’s glazes or Sauces. Importantly for comps they keep a nice shine and are not prone to cake up or easily carbonize. His shipping is also rabbit fast.

I am Boots, and I approved (without compensation) this message.

No the glaze is just that. It compliments the other sauce. Puts a nice shine on the meat right before you take it off the pit (or after).
