Competition pork

Postby Drewlooker » Wed May 30, 2018 11:49 am

The rules state "Pork turn in box must consist of one of the following: shredded, chunks, pulled or sliced."

do you interpret this as you must have at least one of the four or only one of the four?

I know pork is less common in IBCA but i have a competition coming up with a pork category so if anyone wants to share a IBCA pork turn in box photo it would be much appreciative.

Hmmm, I interpret it as meaning ONE and not EACH, however, I'm sure some of the Comp Members will respond to this. :salut:

KAM judges at least one event with that rule. Hopefully he can shed some light.

If the pork category is listed as one of our four meats you may turn in one of the following: shredded, chunks, pulled or sliced. You cannot mix the categories and no garnish is allowed just the foil placed unfolded in the bottom of the tray.
If the promoter adds pork as an open then it is their call on the rule.
Always remember slow and steady wins the race.
