Thanks Mr Joe.

I will send you some photo's of the progression of how this deal comes together. When I drop the pit off today it will be sitting out in the open for the most part with not much around. Then this week they will build around the pit and put the tents up as well. It will sit on a 40ft x 40ft lot. When the rest of the stuff is put up you will not be able to see the pit unless you are inside the booth. Depending on the weather, there will be somewhere around 200,000 to 250,000 people show up at this thing from 4pm on Thursday til 11pm on Saturday evening.

This is my best friends pit. He won it all in 87 I think and was runner up another year down there.

Good luck to ya, several heavy hitters were at the Huntsville Cookoff this passed weekend and we’re headed to Houston afterwards. Gator was at the Rams Club tent yesterday evening helping CarmaQue BBQ out.
How bout some more beans Mr.Taggert? I'd say you've had enough!

Yes, the heavy hitters will be here. As well as all of the winners of the other 3 majors. Fortunately i do not do any of the cooking anymore. It’s way easier to let the young ones do that now. I will have to email the photos to parts as i can not upload them from my phone, but i will try and update with some each day. Hanging out in the motorhome now but about to head over and see if the beer is cold.
