Lookin Good Ratty! When ya get a chance, please take a cpl pics of the interior as I'm curious as to the size of the opening where ya attached the firebox. I'm starting a pig cooker after Christmas during plant shut down and am considering the same set-up fer the firebox and stacks.
Thanks,
dj

Say DJ, dont know that a pic will do much fer ya, its purdy dark in thar, lol
I can tell ya whut I done though.
Main chamber is 18"dia.x 50"x3/8" wall. Firebox is 16"dia.x 24"x3/8" wall.
On main chamber, I cut a 24"x3" slot centered on the 50". On firebox, I cut a 18"x3" slot centered on 24". Then the fun part starts! linin them raschals up, and closin them in.
On mine, the top of the slot on firebox is inline with the bottom of the slot on main chamber. I wanted to be able to cook beans etc: using heat from firebox, so the flat plate material is 3/16". Works real good. Ive tried the thicker flat plate and it just wont git hot enough to cook food in a pan.
Your gonna have some heck of a cuts to git it all lookin rite, be sure to have a cold six pack handy. Hope this helps, any thing else I can help you with, PM me or I think my email addy is in profile.
Good luck, Ratmo
