New backyard smoker build
Hello everyone. So I have a 36” long by 18” wide pipe that I want to set up for my backyard smoker. For my fire box I have a 22” long by 16” wide pipe. Is my fire box to big? If so does anyone have any suggestions on the length? Another question is how do I offset the firebox to the main pit? Never fabricated one before. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Can’t decide if I want a reverse flow or standard offset. Anyone have any suggestions?

Your firebox will work at that size. While it is not ideal once you learn the cooker you will be fine.
Personally I would do tuning plates but I am partial to them.

Same here, you get all the perks of reverse flow without being tied to it.
