Takes a lot of wood to get this thing that hot.

3 and a half hours and that turkey was done, and sure did come out nice and juicy. Tasty!

Re: 171 Gallon Offset Build
I had to rework this big, heavy beast. It was just too heavy to move around by myself. And, it was using way too much wood. So, I cut the ends off and replaced with plate. Cut off the standard wall firebox and replaced with schedule 10. Replaced that oversized stack and got rid of the golf cart tires. I can move it now, but it has to stay on concrete.
I had it left unfinished for about a month, and it started to rust up, so I just got done painting it.
I also built this contraption a couple months back:

Nice looking Santa Maria brother. I have plans to build one out of a section of 18" pipe I have but it is still just sitting and waiting.

Re: 171 Gallon Offset Build
Thanks! I've been needing a BBQ grill, and I really like that up/down feature. It took a few tries before I got it to where it needed to be, but it's good, now.
Been contemplating building another one with splitting the pipe and adding plate to make it bigger, but I'm lacking motivation, too.
