Building New 325 gallon Trailer mounted Smoker 8/25/09 pics

Well i think i am gonna upgrade from my 250 gallon cooker to a 325 gallon. I have a friend that owns a welding shop and he is gonna hook me up on the labor. he has built quite a few smokers for friends and such. I am thinking of sticking with the large Square tube down the middle and sealed in the firebox, just like i have in my 250 gallon cooker. I am also thinking of having a warming box built on the front end of the cooker. I am picking the Tank up on Tuesday and then its off to the welding Shop. If you have any ideas suggestions or comments i would love to hear them. Once i get the Tank i will get some pics before/during and completed project to share with everyone.

on a serious note, any preference on the warming box?? are they worth the cost? also do they work on the end opposite of the firebox??

well i picked the Tank up yesterday and its in great shape. I took my camera with me and totally forgot to snap a few pics. I have decided to go with three doors. the bottom racks will be approx 30" x 29 and the top will be 30"x25-26". I am going to the welding shop on Friday after i get off from working 48 hrs straight at the fire station and will get some pre build pics. Im hoping we will be able to get started on cutting the doors in.

I was hoping i would be able to use a trailer that i have but it looks like the tank will be to long for it.

I would love to have an upright warming box on either of my pits. You might also consider putting a warming oven on top of your firebox... Would love to have that option on my pits too... What are the overall measurements on the tank?

I think the entire length of the tank is 117" and is 30" diameter.

Almost 10'! That's gonna be a nice sized pit.
