Best Pellet Smoker

Postby oliviamia741 » Wed Nov 11, 2020 12:47 pm

Can anyone recommend me the best Pellet Smoker under my budget? My budget lies under $1000. I have a small family of 5 person and I have a small kitchen. Need your wonderful suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Greetings, and welcome to the forum.
Lots of pellet cookers out there.
That will take a bit of looking to find what is under your price point.

I have a CampChef PG-XXL-Pro vertical smoker, 700ish.
Was not happy with the controller, so swapped it out for aftermarket one, and works better now.
Not something I would recommend as a first smoker.

Other members here have pellet grills and can tell you about their experiences with them.

Happy hunting...

I have had a Pit Boss 340 for several years and could not be more pleased. You might want to get the 700 since your family is larger. Just do your clean-up properly and afterwards and you should be pleased also.

I have had several pellet smokers over the past 20 years and I would recommend that you check out the Pit Boss line.
They are reasonable, well made and work well.
The parent company of Pit Boss is a large well respected one that has made wood pellet fueled equipment for several decades
Pit Boss units are sold at many retailers including Walmart, Acadamy Sports even Amazon and others.

Welcome to the forum !!! :salut: :texas:
I bought the Pit Boss Pro Series 1100 just a few month's ago and it seems to work really well. I've done a couple of brisket's, pork rib's, chicken's and a turkey, very pleased with the way they turned out. If you don't have time to keep an eye on the fire box of a stick burner then a pellet smoker is the way to go. I'm very pleased with my Pit Boss.

Thanks Everyone! I researched for much time and finally got two choices. One is Rec Tec and other is Traeger. So at last from these two, finally found a rec tec grill after reading detail review of both grills.

I think you've made the right choice going with the Rec Tec.

I too agree with your choice I didn't read the review but have experience with both and agree the the Rec Tec is a better choice.
Expect that you will have a learning curve getting to know your new cooker and you will learn to love it.
