New Mods on Oklahoma Joe

Pimp the cooker, I have an Oklahoma Joe Smoker and I like it. Just thought it needed a little help.
Firebox grate raised 4" off of the bottom.

Exhaust 3" 90° ell installed to lower to grill grate.

Turning Plate installed Haven't used it yet Hope it works good.

All I need now is to install two new Temp gauges down by the cooking surface. Any more suggestion's welcome. CF

I am interested in seeing how well that tuning plate works. I've never seen one like that, but it seems logical!

Did you order your Tuning Plate through Horizon. Thats where I got mine and it looks exactly like that. It works great

The new turning plate is working really good. Using an oven temp gauge. There is about 10° difference in temp from one end to the other in the cook chamber. I have not yet installed temp gauges in the cook chamber. CF

Enjoyed the visit today and ordered the convection plate from Horizon. Will let you know the results and hopefully talk again down the road.

Got a web address for that "Horizon" place? I've been pondering the purchase of one of those OJ smokers at Academy and that mod would be a plus. Thanks.
