Prime Cut Smoker's

Postby BigTex33 » Thu Mar 24, 2011 10:57 am

Came across this company from Michigan while browsing my favorite rib's website. Anyone have any experience their smokers? They are gorgeous but do they get the job done?

That's what I was thinking, but if they don't get the job done then I might as well spend the money on a Jambo or a Gator and stick closer to home.

my gut feeling says, more show that go....just from looking at it. It has alot of wow factor but I think there are plenty of reputable pit builders here in Texas that could easily build something much more functional. And you could always add your own drink system if you really wanted it.

Good point and along the lines of what I'm thinking. Plus that's a long haul to go grab a smoker. Just caught me eye. You have to admit they are good lookin pits.

They are different. The firebox is unusual almost looks like a thruster from a jet airplane when the door is open. But the ash woodwork is an added touch of craftsmanship. Although IMO I would support the Texas economy and go with a Gator but heck Ritch is a good friend of mine so id support him anyway.

The wood holding up in the Texas Sun would be a concern for me.

I share those same sentiments. I felt like a bit of a traitor admiring these. They're just flashy.

I called to ask how he wired up the stereo system because I am thinking about putting one on my smoker. He said he is out of business due to the economy and inability to sell his smokers.

Hmm, maybe that's why he never answered me email. Well there ya go. I guess if it was worth it's weight in wood and polish than it would be selling. I've got my eye on a pit from JoeBQpits. Check out Speed's forum about the pit he just had built, that's the one.
