know anything about them? i'm looking at the back yard smoker. warming the intake air sounds interesting. alaska would give you a good test ground for maintaining temps.

No personal experience, but I see a lot of good press on them.

went by there saturday and talked, tasted rubs for over an hour. nice guy. i told him he should patent the air intake system he uses to keep the temps consistent throughout the cooking chamber. looks like i'll be moving money around to grab one. anyone want an old country brazos?($$$)

I have a rockin W patio pit. It works great and built like a tank. Daniel takes pride in his work and it shows. Pit is well built and will likely outlast me.

Daniel is a comp cook and knows his stuff as well. Besides he is just a darn nice guy. My advise... Get one!

I have cooked on a lot of different pit in past 30 or so years my patio pit is easy
to manage carries even temps across the gates just takes a small fire for 275 temps. No leaks darn good paint

That big tru tell temp gauge reads lower than the actual grate temp by maybe twenty degrees on mine. Not a problem just FYI
