Thoughts on Pits by JJ?

Postby Texasguy31 » Mon May 30, 2016 7:33 pm

I'm in the Market for a 24x48 pit. I would love me a gator but don't want to wait 8 months to get it. I've talked to Jose at pits by JJ and he seems like a stand up guy. It looks very close to a Klose pit. His prices aren't to bad. Anyone own/cooked on one? Thanks in advance.

I also noticed that they looked A LOT like the pits that Klose makes. I mean they are clones. I heard that JJ worked for Klose back in the day.

Haven't seen JJs but my old Klose was a miracle machine

Bobby: "No."
Hank: "Well, there's really no wrong way to do it."

Jose builds a great cooker and will work with you on any mods you would like. I know several teams that use his cookers and they all love them.
Always remember slow and steady wins the race.

I smoke on a JJ's and it's great.
My brother in Houston has a Klose and compares them to about equal.

I have owned a JJ pit for approximately 4 years. Jose is a stand up guy and will design you our idea pit. Go for it!

I have a custom from Pits by JJ from three years ago. Love it.
I looked shopped for a long time and talked to many pit masters. It came down to Pits by Klose and Pits by JJ.

His prices have gone up a little bit.
