Inaugural cook on my new Lang! Cook times are way shorter than what I'm used to, looks like my ribs will be done 90 minutes sooner :)

Thanks bsooner,

I've got a 1st world problem with 2 awesome BBQ rigs and not enough backyard. Here's a pic of both (sorry I'm technically challenged and don't know how to rotate it). The wife will make me sell one, but I figure I'll probably fire them up one of these weekends so I can get the simultaneous 2 rig experience. I must say that I'm becoming a believer in reverse flow in general, and Lang in particular. Some friends who I've cooked Que for swear up and down that my Lang Que has gone up a level !!

Thanks Rus_bro!

Caught the serious bbq bug, been smoking for a few years, but finally got online this winter. You guys have taught me a lot. I feel my bbq has gone way up in quality. Thanks to all for the support. Happy to say 2 of 3 cookers have been sold!!

These BBQ rigs are legends. They are really meant to last forever. You're lucky to have one. :D
What I really like about it is the reverse flow smoke feature though it uses up a lot of fuel. Do you use split logs for the smoker?

I've found that the Lang takes about 4 split logs to get humming at 240. I then try to stay ahead by putting in a stick every 40 minutes. I find if I wait a full hour then I'm chasing down in the 210 to 220 range. It might be the altitude out here that makes me feed more wood than most would use at sea level. As Far as traditional vs reverse flow, I've found wood use is about the same.
