I just thought since it was an Imperial Kamando, it somehow seemed fitting. :D :D

It's very fitting. What also would work is Kamado-No-Kami (KnK?) Other names we've come up with include Khan, Nok (new-old kamado), Shogun, Meko (there was girl when I was stationed on Okinawa...never mind).

Back to Inari. For those who aren't into these things, Inari was sacred to the Shi-Den types. A shape shifter sometimes male and sometimes female, closely associated with the fox. Their temples or entrances to them were painted bright red.

"Grasshopper, snatch the brisket from my hand...." I'm really warming up to Inari. But the shape shifter reference just brought forward the name of Odo.

Just to throw another name in here, nowhere near as fancy as the current candidates.

Ever since you've been refering to the cooker as IK, I've been thinking of your cookers as "Einstein and Ike".

I like that one too. "Ike" was the Supreme Allied Commander during WWII. VE Day was just a couple of days age. Ike also later became the President of these United States. Dwight David Eisenhower and Ricard Nixon was VP. Maybe I should name it "checkers". cause according to the ancient Vulcan saying 'Only Nixon could go to China'.

Time to get some shut eye, long night last night with an early rise due to business.

Folks, this has been a ride and half. Tore it down to the basic components. Then took a wire brush inserted in the trustee variable speed electric drill and went to work on the metal parts. After that operation was done I went at it will 400 grit wet/dry sandpaper doing the wet routine.

Then went over the body with a bristle brush. I was worried for a little bit as one area flaked badly.

Then I went to the paint locker (err cabinet) and found two cans of Rustoleum. Painted the body red and the metal parts black. Gloss.

Hope to reassemble it tomorrow but the Mrs wants to add some decorative touches...

I've name it Roma, cause it looks like a tomato :D
