Found this online the other day. If I had an extra $100 lying around I might give it a try but with a new baby due soon funds are kind of tight right now, so... whose going to be first on the forum to tackle this project and see if it works out?

Sweet idea. I'm surprised the one pot lasts as well as it does. I used to use a ceramic base to put my charcoal chimney on while the coals heated up. It lasted about a month until I heard a loud POP come from the yard one day. The base had exploded into about 6 pieces.

Looks like the guy watched the AB show when he made a smoker out of terra cotta flower pots. Now, an Imperial Kamado is technically terra cotta, but the BGE and Primo are space age ceramics. It looks to be too small to be of much use -kinda of light a Weber Smokey Joe.
