Einstein 2.0

Postby DATsBBQ » Sun Dec 18, 2011 3:57 pm

:santa: Showed up driving a freight truck last Friday night. Put him together today. New top, new bottom. Thermometer, top damper, fire-box, fire-ring, fire-grate, hinge and food grate from the original Einstein. I had to remove a couple of studs from the hinge assemble as the new Primo Kamados no longer have notches in the ceramic to line up the hinge. The hole in the top vent (cast iron) doesn't line up with the predrilled hole in the ceramic for the mounting screw. My solution was not to worry about it  -after all the BGE doesn't use a mounting screw.

Got a 12+ # packer in the fridge. The plan is to smoke on Tuesday for a mini-feast on Wednesday. The first thing I ever smoked in Einstein was a brisket, only fitting to carry on the tradition with E2.
