Temp Control Automation

Postby NaptownSmoker » Sun Nov 02, 2014 2:34 pm

I have a BGE and use a CyberQ WiFi controller. Has three temp probes, one pit probe and a vent opening blower fan.
Works fantastic. Some throttling of the opening behind the fan is needed for real low and slow as some air leaks through a non running fan.
I can monitor and update via my iPhone 5.

Couldn't help but notice the bright shiny BGE grill extender in both pictures. I take it you have never used it, or have you kept it that clean using Easy Off? I have two of them and my old one I tried to clean it with foil but much of the chrome came off so now it appears to be made of copper, but I believe that is the coating on the steel that binds the chrome. My point is go easy on the clean up!

That BGE is eight or so years old. Kept under s cover.

The grill extender is a year old, but I hit it with pan spray and keep it clean.
