"thing about those pellet cookers, they take a good cook and make em lazy...."

I take exception to that remark, my lazy was finely tuned well before I got the pellet pit(s).

If you are asking about this specific pit I have never even seen a Blazin Pit but I'm sure they are good.
If you are asking about brisket done on pellet pits, yes I have done hundreds in the past 17 years that I have used them.
During this same period I have had some good stick burners and done beau coup briskets on them too.
To answer your next question no I no longer own a stick burner lazy overcame, babysitting went down in defeat.
To be fair I did own a Old Hickory stick burner and you didn't need to babysit that jewel but one or two briskets would get lost in it.

I put a brisket on the grill on Saturday night and it is ready when church is over. I use hickory pellets, plus Mojo bricks or the A-MAZE-N Maze for more smoke flavor. I love it. Lazy won out! I'm going to out lazy Papa Tom. :D

It is different because the pellet pit has a forced air setup and never really has smoldering resulting in a cleaner burn. There is a learning curve and the best way to start is to follow the manufacturer's recipes to a "T".
The most common complaint is "less smoke or not enough smoke flavor" but lots of comps are won using pellet pits.
