Friend of mine is contemplating buying a Camp Chef Pellet cooker and is wondering how long a hopper of pellets would last. I understand different temps would dictate different times but he is wondering about 225 to 250 degrees. I have never seen any kind of pellet pooper in actual use so I don't even begin to have a clue.

I don't have a Camp Chef but have or had several others.
Ambient temperature (and wind) makes a big difference in pellet consumption but one should be able to do a brisket with a full hopper even in cool weather.
When it get's pretty cold out I cover the cooker with a welders blanket that helps a lot.
There are other factors as well such as short pellets last longer than long pellets (because they take up less space they produce more heat per auger feed cycle and less variation in cooker temperature).

The bottom line answer is you probably won't run out of pellets.
