My 1st Cook on my Pellet Pooper...
I’m amazed at the ease of this grill... It’s about like turning on your oven and just letting it preheat before throwing the meat to it... The porkloin was cooked to 142 degrees and the chicken strips were cooked on the direct side... It didn’t have a distinct Smoke ring, however the flavor was awesome and held loads of moisture. The chicken strips had Jamaican Jerk seasoning and the flavor made you wanna Slap Ya Momma... Very pleased so far with the smoke flavor, not as heavy as my offset, but has a pleasant smoke flavor... I’ll be Smoking some Babybacks and a Pork Shoulder this weekend... I need to work on that smoke ring... Ray...

looks like you had a successful first cook.
the smoke ring.... don't worry about it, there are numerous other posts about this elusive decoration.
Cook to suit yourself and if the smoke ring is a mandatory requirement use a little curing salt on the meat, let it sit for 10 minutes then rinse off. Pat the meat dry with a paper towel, season and cook whether by oven or wood fire you'll have a pretty smoke ring....

Nice! I find I can pull off a decent smoke ring, in my pelletnpooper, by going low and slow and also adding a water pan if there's room.

Swamp Donkeyz... I agree.... at 225 it produces all the smoke you need... Reduces smoke generation significantly at 235 and above.... Even if you wanna cook at higher temps... Cook the 1st hour or so at 220 to 225.... Then of course you can use an additional Smoke generator to continue good smoke through your cook...
