Winged it on a pork butt

Postby Rick4310 » Tue Jan 09, 2018 10:42 am

Let me start off with this is only my 2nd time to cook meat on a smoker/grill
I kinda winged it on the recipe yesterday.
Seasoned Pork butt and placed in a pan with a large can cream of mushroom soup and a can of cream of poblano soup. Set the treager at 250 until it got to 165 internal temp. then turned it up to 375 until it got to 195.
The butt just fell apart, it was going to be tonight dinner but after tasting it we moved it up to yesterdays dinner.
My wife used the soup and juices to make gravy to put over the butt and white rice..
I had it for leftovers today for lunch and honestly think it was better today...

I would cook that in a Texas Minute - - - especially the Poblano Soup which I would probably use two cans of and drop the cream of fungi (shrooms) - - :chef: :dont:

Looks great and thanks for sharing this  :salut:
