Finished plate. Still not enough smoke for me on the Yoder so more experimenting necessary. Melt in your mouth tender though and nice flavor. I like beef ribs every now and then, but usually pretty expensive.

Nice Plate and nice smoke ring too
I'm thinking you might need to step into some Hickory, Mesquite or Oak Pellets
but that is just a guess

Ran out of pellets and had to finish burnt ends in the oven. Much better smoke ring and smoke flavor on the brisket.

Turned out pretty tasty too, just not enough smoke flavor for me. Is it a trade off for ease of use rather than tending a stick burner all day??
Not yet.

You know, for me
, it's more of not having to store or locate quality wood - - - getting and dealing with Pellets is a 365/run to town/Score but good quality (and variety) of Wood is not.
Keeping Pellets dry is a no brainer but not so with wood splits.
I can also fire my Pellet Pooper up under the carport in close conditions and not have to worry about the "fire danger" - - - also when finished and cooled off I just roll it in the shop and kiss it good night.
Basically, it's just the Wife and I most of the time with an occasional Family Gathering so it was the answer to my prayers.

I've ruined more then my share of meat on a stick burner.
Pretty hard to ruin anything on a pellet spitter. Yea at first there was a few cooks that I wasn't extremely happy with the end results but after 2 years of using it the one big thing I've figured out is...don't get in a hurry. Low and slow along with a smoke tube will give you a lot more smoke flavour.
Your cook looked fantastic Outlaw

I used the same pellet you use Bill, but can you recommend a more "robust" one for stick burner type flavor?

Outlaw, if you want this Pellet Tray then I'll pick up a bubble envelope and drop it in the mail to you?
