Meatloaf!!!

Postby rms827 » Wed May 23, 2018 1:40 am

Yep, I can even get a smoke ring (sort of) on my meatloaf. :D

180 degrees (I love that the Rec-Tec can cook that low) with extra smoke mode on till it hit about 110 inside, then up to 400 to put a little glaze on the A1. :D

Meatloaf,,,yummmm !!
That's one thing I haven't tried yet in the PP.

My wife does a really good meatloaf. She got the recipe out of a 40 year old cook book from our church. Called Montana Meatloaf.

I think that what turned me off of Meatloaf at an early age was that Tomato Paste that my Mom poured all over it. :banghead:

You've said enuff  I gotta try it but I'm thinking large meatballs instead of loaf. Then I'll add my "own" additives with Suckle Busters help. :salut: :texas:

Totally agree. It was drowning it in catsup for my mom. Ruined it for me. As I hinted in my initial post, I use a bit of A1 sauce once it's ready for the high temp finish. BBQ sauce would work too though.  :chef:

You made me do it too, this was my wife's recipe but I just remembered she had mixed veges in it. This didn't, but was just as I remembered it. Slice with some home made tomatoe relish from wife's garden.
