New 22 inch Weber

Postby DATsBBQ » Tue Mar 17, 2015 11:49 am

The Mrs is losing patience with my refurb of Einstein, and said we should buy a Weber grill in the meantime. I wanted the entry level performer (small side table), but could not find any in stock at Wallyworld, Academy, Lowes, or Home Depot. Seeking immediate gratification, I got the 22" Master Touch. I've always been a Weber fan, and this product is a vast improvement over the last Weber that died a horrible rusty death in Galveston. The thermometer, while not adjustable, passed the boiling test. And I like the hood rack, and fancy ash catcher. Now, to buy some pavers as the Mrs. won't let me use it on the wood deck.

My poor Weber kettle sits behind the shed faithfully waiting.....it rarely gets used any more but still it's a permanent fixture here.

It may get used more soon as a Carolina Wren pair decided to build a nest in a hanging basket next to my PG500 so it will get mothballed until there's a empty nest.
A long story short but I have a bit of a soft spot for these little guys and the can even interrupt my smoke.

Anyway good choice Dats.

I love my kettles! The Master Touch is basically the updated Gold, which is awesome. The new upgrades to the ash catcher, especially, over the Gold are awesome. I saw one the other day and was comparing. I have four 26.75s, and wish they all had that new ash catcher assembly.

Great purchase! You'll love it...
