infrared burners - how are they attached at the valve

Postby slojim » Sun Apr 17, 2016 11:32 am

my tube burners have the regular air adjustment window, with a spider screen over them, so it all fits together. I was looking at an infrared burner of the same manufacturer, and it looks wide open at the inlet, no air adjustment shutter and a big gap. The drawing does not indicate any additional parts, though I suppose the valve might be different for the IR burner and stick in further. I was thinking about building a side box. Does anybody have an infrared lower burner that they can post a picture of as installed, particularly the gas valve attachment area? I'd like to order the right parts. My particular grill is a napoleon and I planned to stick with that.
