Oh boy, I think I need to be banned from Cabela's !! WAYYYY too many things I need AND DON'T need in this awesome place. Yes...some things are overpriced, but alot are GREAT deals. I end up here once every 2 years or so for some cooking gadgets, so tonight I went after work looking for a Big Easy as a house warming gift for my sister in-law and her fiance who live in Delaware.

So I found out quickly that I was out of luck as they don't carry that line of cooker, BUTTTTT.....

I saw this monster and Instantly fell in love with it after seeing what it can do !
So, I went on line and read the reviews and they are GREAT !!
So, in the cart it goes

So, my wheels are spinning asking myself if I really ( need ) one of those and the answer is no...wait...yes I do....well, maybe not..grrrrr I really need one but....NO NO NO NO my inner self yelled so as of now, only one made the trip home till Delaware this weekend..

Rumor has it, a ( brisket ) is cooked to perfection in 4.5 hrs and a whole 20 lb Turkey in 2.5 hrs.....

6 racks of ribs in 75 minutes.....( WHAT ????? )

This thing even allows wood chunks/chips to be used as a smoker...

I had one many years ago. Sold it in a garage sale for $20. Never did a brisket but did a few turkeys. Flavor was ok but somehow I managed to cook it until it incredible hulked its skin everytime. I'll take mine on a smoker any day of the week.

That's good to know, I'll have the receipt and what I love about Cabela's is they never ever give you a hard time returning anything.
I'm wondering how long ago you had yours ? I was asking the sales guy a million questions about it and he did mention that they had made some ( changes/upgrades ) not long ago and this is the current model so I guess we will see :)

Probably fixed whatever the issue was I would guess ??

Could've been the operator but I moved onto a smoker and liked the results better. You may love it, I hope so…keep us posted

It's not for us, it's a gift for Debs sister and her fiance. I'll ask for their input down the road.
