Does it create enough smoke for your LSG pit? I’ve only smoked cheese in my kettle which is kind of a pain. Never thought about a tube and loading Blue up.

Oh Blue would be perfect for this. Even with the firebox door open and the tube on the fire grate I got a steady supply of smoke in the cook chamber. Just be sure the pellets are dry. I vac sealed the unused pellets for next round.

Thanks! Off to search for a tube!

you can set a tube upright, light it and set your cheese on a grill then set a large box over the top and poke a hole in the bottom and top for airflow to do cheese or as you were sayin you could use your kettle or?? gas grill turned off of coarse... numerous ideas to do cheese, less heat is better

A little late to the party, I know, but I like this one:

I lay it on its side. Lasts a good long time.
I started with nothing, and I still have most of it.

I have two tubes but can't use them cause they emit more heat than I want to smoke my salmon to make grav lox. I need something that will COLD smoke. Under 90 degrees.

I put the tube on one side of my egg and the salmon on the other side. I have also used a tray of ice directly under a bunch of cheese to avoid melting the cheese when it’s 90+ outside.

So I’ve used mine on multiple occasions and I don’t get the heat others have stated. I’m usually with 2 tubes running 85-90 on the temp, the smoke is thicker than my stick burner and was a little worried it might effect the flavor but it was fine. My stick burner is 42” long which might effect others using the tubes especially with heat. Smoked cheeses I agree to leave out to allow it to mellow. The end result is similar to a traeger type pellet pooper with a cold smoke attachment.
